The Monterey Jazz Festival

SEPTEMBER 25-27, 2020

2004 Fairground Road, Monterey, CA

The Monterey Jazz Festival, held every year at the end of September in Monterey, California, is widely recognized for being the longest-running jazz festival in the country. The celebration takes place at the Monterey Fairgrounds — the same venue where the festival was first held back in 1958. Festival-goers are presented with the best jazz performers in the world as they attend a three-day festival of this music. In turn, the event involves clinics, exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, conversations, and a variety of retail, entertainment, and activities distributed across 20 acres.

From its formation, the Monterey Jazz Festival has contributed the proceeds to music education.  This year’s Monterey Jazz Festival is in conversation with the best jazz festival in the country. The Festival will host another ‘jaw-dropping line-up’ of over 130 performances by legendary and young jazz musicians, interactive programs, conversations, films, and exhibits on eight stages—30 hours of live music covering two days and three nights.
